The William Parker Quartet visited Charlottesville, VA October 13, 2010. The Quartet gave three master classes and an evening performance. Below are photographs from the master class at the Music Resource Center and for John D’earth’s improvisation class at the University of Virginia. The quartet was comprised of William Parker on bass, percussion, shakuhachi, and bass duduk. Rob Brown on alto and tenor sax. Lewis Barnes on trumpet. Andrew Barker on drums and percussion. William Parker’s wife, Patricia Nicholson performed dance.
